Few people
are aware that in July of this year,
Macon added
another doctor to its already extensive list of capable
physicians.
Enter Dr. Anika
Bradley.
Dr.
Bradley’s office, Ophthalmic Plastic &
Reconstructive Surgery of Central Georgia, is located at
1062 Forsyth
Street, Suite 2-D,
Macon,
GA. She is a plastic
eye surgeon, specializing in pediatric and adult
functional procedures.
Dr.
Bradley hails from South
Carolina
where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in
Science from the University of South Carolina-Chapel
Hill. She
completed her medical degree at the Medical University
of South Carolina in Charleston. She also
completed her ophthalmology residency at the
University
of New
York
in Brooklyn
and her fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and
reconstructive surgery and ocular trauma at Wayne State
University Kresge Eye Institute in
Detroit,
Michigan. She is also an
associate member of the
American
Academy
of Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Bradley
and her husband, John Bradley have one daughter,
Jordan, age 2
½.
Although Dr. Bradley is new in town, she has the
distinction of being the only plastic and reconstructive
surgeon in the city. After reading
her brochure, I had questions about some of the
procedures (of which she is certified in many), namely
Botox injections and
Microdermabrasion.
Botox injections are done to prevent wrinkles and
are effective for about 6 months. They are done
in-office and only take about 10 minutes.
Microdermabrasion treatments are the removal of
scars or other imperfections over a period of time by
sloughing off the outermost skin layers to reveal the
new layers underneath. This procedure
consists of several treatments over a period of
time.
Dr. Bradley
would like to help make the beautiful people of
Central
Georgia even more
beautiful and I will soon be making an appointment of my
own. Why
don’t you drop by or call and see for yourself what she
can do for you?
